暂无简介Plot Summary:It was all on account of the dentist's apprentice. Reg started him on an errand, but he was like the proverbial messenger boy. He loitered on his way and started to flirt with a girl. Gene had a day off and was spending it in the park with a lady friend. It was not Gene's fault that he sat on a bench, found a box of candy and started to eat a little of it. But the box was a precious one to Bill for Reg had started him on his way to his sweetheart with the candy and Bill had not sufficient funds to buy another box so he forthwith put Gene in shape for the dentist by knocking a few of his molars out. In the meantime Reg had telephoned to his girl and found that the messenger had not arrived, so he started out to look for him. Gene hurries home to his little daughter for consolation, and she immediately sends him to her dentist sweetheart for repairs. Now Reg was away when father arrived, and he again fell into the hands of the apprentice, who set to work on father in a very unprofessional way, so that when father got out he was ripe for the hospital. When he arrived home, and was told by his fond daughter that the sweetheart had called up and would be over soon, father was sure he would be able to get sufficient revenge. When the real dentist arrived, father worked on him, but to his sorrow he found that he had almost killed the wrong man. Together they all hasten to the dentist's parlor, only to find that the apprentice had been working on some poor man and left him with the gas bag on his nose while he carried on a flirtation with a pretty maid who had visited the office. The patient's life was saved, but the apprentice will bother no one anymore, for he went to his doom in a seventy-foot lake.
