当年在《看电影》杂志上看过卢戈西的介绍，其中就提到了这部电影。由于是30年代拍摄的，电影技巧还比较简陋，片头挂了爱伦坡的名，故事却并不精彩，男主角是个废物蠢蛋，唯一干成的事竟然是枪杀了帮助自己妻子的医生，实在雷人。这部电影唯一吸引我的可能也就是那栋充满包豪斯风格的别墅了
一切堪称完美，直到冒着傻气和粉色泡泡的结尾【扔东西】扒衣服太给里给气了啊啊啊啊啊啊【失智ing】
乌默的片子水平飘忽不定，这一部感觉文艺的过分了点，整个给人一舞台剧的人物对峙，就算是有卢戈西和卡洛夫也没办法拯救这无聊的情节。
处理得很蠢，配乐过分饱满、打光过分明亮、布景过分精致，要是拍成默片我可能还勉强给个及格
要意识到，这是1934年的情节，效果。
